Common Thermodynamic Database Project

Home CTDP

If your work involves chemistry of natural or industrial aquatic systems, hydrology, bio-geochemistry, performance and/or safety assessment of waste disposals, geological storage (sequestration of CO2)environmental sciences, nuclear engineering, groundwater pollution, corrosion, radio-toxicology, ... then speciation models, thermodynamic databases and therefore the CTDP are of crucial importance to you.

Welcome to the homepage of the CTDP, a project with the purpose of developing and maintaining a common, model-independent database for speciation models. To achieve this aim, a specific consortium has been created composed of ARMINES, CEA, EDF, IRSN and TOTAL to support the project financially and scientifically. The latest release of the database can be downloaded in formats used by several popular geochemical speciation models. Currently supported are CHESS, the Geochemist's Workbench and PHREEQC. Other codes may be supported soon.
